Dua e Shukr


Shukr guzar hoon aapka Khudaya,

Nazar e karam mujh par daal di jo,

Ab dua hai ke hifazat se rakhen mujhe,

Ruswa wa tanha na chorren mujhe,

Mujhe himmat den,

Aur samujh den,

Meri khushi ko qaem rakhen,

Araam se mera safar paar karaen,

Aameen!

Haath uthae sar ko jhukae,

Ae hein ya Rabb terei dar par,

Apna karam ki hum pe nazar kar,

Seedhi rah dikha dei humko,

Such much naik bana dei humko,

Qaum ko dil se piyar karein hum,

Qaum ka beirra paar karein hum,

Ilm wah hunar se shaad humein kar,

Fikron se azaad humein kar,

Naam pe terei jaan fida ho,

Nayyer ki poori yeh dua ho!

Dua


Dil ko sukoon deine ka zariya,
Zukam wa bukhar ko rud karne ka zariya,
Dimaghi istirab door karne ka zariya,
Naiki kamane ka zariya,
Maslon ko hul karne ka zariya,
Imaan mazbut karne ka zariya,
Dheelei dhanche ko durust karne ka zariya,
Jazbat qabu rakhne ka zariya,
Islam aur Musalmanon ka zariya,
Rabb ka pasandeeda zariya huwa!

Twenty Five Times Better


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The group prayer is twenty-five times superior in reward than the prayer in your house or the prayer in your place of business. Anyone who does Wudu and goes to the Masjid with no other object than to do the prayer, Allah will raise him up a degree with every step he takes, and a wrong action will fall away from him. When he prays, the angels pray for him all the time he is in his place of prayer saying, ‘O Allah! Forgive him! O Allah! Show mercy to him!’ One of you is in the prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer.” In one variant, “O Allah, forgive him! O Allah, turn to him as long as he does no harm in it and does not break Wudu in it.” [Sahih Bukhari]

Ibn Hajar said that this hadith demonstrates the merit of Salah over other actions because it mentions how angels pray for mercy and forgiveness for the person who prays in the Masjid. This hadith also demonstrates the excellence of the righteous people over the angels because they obtain degrees through their worship while the angels are occupied with asking forgiveness and supplicating for them.

The meaning of “as long as he does no harm in it” is: as long as he does not harm any of those praying by word or deed.

The meaning of “as long as he does not break Wudu” is: as long as no wind issues from him. This is why it is recommended for a Muslim to do Wudu whenever he breaks it so that he obtains the prayer of the angels on himself. [The World of the Angels by Sheikh Abdul-Hamid Kishk]

And to Allah belong the unseen aspects of the heavens and the earth and to Him will be returned the matter, all of it, so worship Him and rely upon Him. And your Lord is not unaware of that which you do.

What Noble Qur’an Says

Regarding Parents?

*Be good to your parents*
and 

*show kindness to them*


Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

The Noble Qur’an often reminds us
to be good to our parents and show kindness to them.
Certainly this is quite a challenge
for us careless and forgetful humans.

We must try our level best to respect our parents.
We should speak softly with our parents,
and treat them kindly and gently.

Let us ponder on the following verses,
in which, our Lord has commanded us
to be good with our parents
and show kindness to them.


Allah Subhanuhu wa Ta`ala says, 

(interpretation of the meaning):

[17.Surah Bani Israel : Ayah 23]

 23. Thy Lord has decreed
that you worship none but Him, and that

ye be kind to parents.

Whether one or both of them
attain old age in thy life,

say not to them a word of contempt,
nor repel them,
but address them in terms of honour.


[17.Surah Bani Israel : Ayah 24]


And,

out of kindness, lower to them
the wing of humility,

and say:

“My Lord! bestow on them Your Mercy
even as they cherished me in childhood.” 



[31.Surah Luqman : Ayah 14] 


And We have enjoined on man
(to be good) to his parents:

in travail upon travail did his mother bear him,
and in years twain was his weaning:
(hear the command),

“Show gratitude to Me
and to your parents:
to Me is (your final) Goal.”


[46.Surah Al-Ahqaf : Ayah 15] 

We have enjoined on man
kindness to his parents:

In pain did his mother bear him,
and in pain did she give him birth.

The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is
(a period of) thirty months..”

 At length, when he reaches the age of full strength
and attains forty years, he says,
“O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Your favour
which You have bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents,
and that I may work righteousness such as You mayest approve;
and be gracious to me in my issue.
Truly have I turned to You and truly do I bow (to You) in Islam.”

Dear brothers and sisters in faith,

Let us make this precious Du’a
with sincere intention and from the depth of our heart,

“O my Lord!
so order me that I may be grateful for Your favours,
which You have bestowed on me and on my parents,
and that I may work the righteousness that will please You:
And admit me, by Your Grace, to the ranks of Your righteous servants.” 

(Surah An-Naml, Chapter 27, Verse 19)
